And That, My Friends, Was The New Frontier

Darwyn Cooke's The New Frontier was released recently in one edition, the "Absolute Edition."

It is awesome. Everything, from the very pretty art (on glossy, oversized paper) to the story (read the first chapter, Analog Heroes, and I dare you to try to put the book down) works so so well. Darwyn Cooke's art has rarely been better (not that he sucks now, or anything, but you can tell how much he cared about how good it looked. The little moments, the snow in Vegas, the Michael Mann/Michael Bay "Hero Shot.")

The awesome characterizations: Batman being awesome, Superman being awesome, Wonder Woman being awesome, Barry Allen being awesome, Hal Jordan being awesome . . . everyone being awesome.

Get the book. Get it. Get it it now.
